BEE4’s Journey

Contributing to the promotion of regulatory innovations

2019

Start of participation in the CVM LAB

Patricia Stille becomes a member of the CVM Innovation Lab, contributing to the first paper on the use of DLT in regulated markets, initiating the technical and regulatory studies that would underpin the BEE4 model

2021

Approval in the CVM’s first regulatory sandbox

BEE4 is approved by the CVM, obtains a license to operate as an organized OTC market, and becomes the country’s first infrastructure focused on SMEs, proposing a regulatory and technical framework that would later help inspire the FÁCIL Regime (CVM 232) and its rules to enable capital markets issuances by smaller companies. The initiative combined regulatory and technological innovation, using blockchain in a regulated environment, and was selected among the top 3 projects out of 34 submitted.

2022

Núclea investment and first listing

Núclea becomes an investor in BEE4, validating the importance of the initiative. BEE4 accelerates the development of its infrastructure, building systems and a blockchain network to launch this new market in less than a year, beginning with the listing of its first company: Engravida.

2023

Expansion of listings and regulatory progress

Three more companies are listed on BEE4: Mais Mu, Plamev Pet and Eletron. The practical experience with these first issuers, combined with ongoing studies and interactions with market participants, leads BEE4 to enhance the proposed regulatory framework and request an increase in offering limits.

2024

Integration with brokerages, agendas with BNDES and the CVM

BEE4 has its systems integrated with the first brokerages, Itaú and Genial, which begin providing access to trading in this new market. After two years of interactions on technical matters with BNDES, the bank announces an agenda to anchor SME IPOs. The CVM opens a public consultation on the new regulation inspired by the BEE4 model.

2025

Definitive licenses and launch of Rota FÁCIL

BEE4 obtains definitive licenses from the CVM to operate as an Organized OTC Market and as a Central Depository, and launches the Rota FÁCIL program, which will subsidize the listing of the first 10 companies, reinforcing its active and ongoing leadership in the development of the access market.
